Adolescence is a uniquely challenging and exciting time in all our lives. It can be a time of growth and self-discovery, as well as increased stress and anxiety as teens try to find their path. Managing peer relationships, academic pressures and developing their own sense of identity are some of the challenges young people face. There are unique challenges to being a teenager today – post pandemic and in an increasingly virtual world – that may make it more difficult to build connections and resilience.
Teenagers can benefit from talking through their feelings with someone outside of their family or friend group. Individual counselling can help them to heal, to learn or simply to grow and develop into the adult they want to be
